The FireStart Process Portal must be installed on the same host as the FireStart Server processes.
The Process Portal is provided by the Internet Information Services (IIS). If the feature is selected, the setup will create the “FireStart AppPool” with .NET Framework “v4.0”.
Afterwards, the setup will try to create the site for the Process Portal.
If the setup cannot create the AppPools (the setup will show a message) the site will not be created.
The “FireStart AppPool” identity needs read permissions for the folder containing the Process Portal! Furthermore, the binding in the IIS has to use the same SSL certificate as the FireStart Server!
After setup has been completed successfully and the FireStart Server has been started, the Process Portal can be used without further configuration. It is accessible via the URL, which can be setup in the configuration wizard.
