PowerShell Activities configured to execute on a remote server use the FireStart Remote Agent.
The Setup routine automatically updates Sync Adapter installations to Remote Agent installations. You can also install the Remote Agent stand-alone with the normal FireStart Server setup.
Prerequisites: .NET Core 2.1 Runtime (automatically installed by the setup routine).
Note: the installation of the Remote Agent is only needed on the remote host, not on the FireStart server.
The configuration dialog looks like this:
Basic Settings | |
Identity Server URL: |
URL of the FireStart Identity Server (see BaseURL in Authentication) |
Log Directory Path: |
Path for the operation logs of the FireStart Remote Agent |
Log Keep Days: |
Number of days after which the Configuration Wizard will clean up old log files |
Activity Log Directory Path: |
Path where detailed logs of PowerShell jobs are archived |
Working Directory Path: |
Working directory for the Remote Agent |
Port: | The port that the Remote Agent should listen to |
SSL Certificate Thumbprint: |
The SSL certificate used to host the Remote Agent Service |
Service Credentials | |
Username: | User in the format <domain>\<username> of the principal that the Remote Agent Service should run under. This user must have local administrator privileges. |
Password: | The password of the user |
If you replace a Sync Adapter installation with the Remote Agent, you only need to configure the following settings for Remote Agent to be functional. The rest is automatically picked up from the old configuration.
