Workflow Tasks can be communicated on channels in Microsoft Teams.
1. Installing as an Admin
Admin users can push the Teams App to all FireStart users in their company so individual end users don’t have to manually install it themselves.
1.1 Enable third-party apps
In the Teams Admin Center, go to Teams apps > Manage apps. Click on Org-wide app settings. Now activate the Allow interaction with custom apps switch.

1.2 Upload App in Teams Admin Center
Open the Teams Admin Center, go to Teams apps > Manage apps. Click on Upload new App (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/manage-apps#upload-a-new-app.) and choose the 'FireStart Teams AddIn.zip' file (located in the <FireStartInstallDir>\Firestart Resources\Downloads folder). The file is created after running the Config Wizard. If it is missing, run the Config Wizard again. The FireStart Teams App should be now available for all users of the organization to install.
1.3 Optional: Install & pin app for all users
Open the Teams Admin Center, go to Teams apps > Setup policies and choose the policy for which you want to add the FireStart App (use Global for all users). Then click on Add apps, choose the FireStart App and click Save.
2. Installing as a User
As a user, open Microsoft Teams and click on Apps in the bottom left corner and search for FireStart. Click on the FireStart App and select Add.
To install the FireStart Teams AddIn, open Microsoft Teams and click on Apps (in the bottom left) and search for FireStart. Click on the App and then choose Add.
3. Using the App
The Teams AddIn is available in the left sidebar by clicking on the 3 dots. You can also pin it to the sidebar by right clicking on the FireStart icon and then choosing Pin.
In the FireStart Teams App, you see the following tabs:
My Tasks shows you all the Tasks assigned to you. Just like in the Process Portal, you can search for specific Tasks or filter your Tasks list. When you click on a Task, the Form appears on the right side for you to edit and work with. You’re also able to see the progress of the Workflow Task.
Settings displays your user information as well as the server that your FireStart Teams App is connected to. The FireStart Teams App can be used with both the on-premises and the browser version of Teams.
