Which third party systems are supported by FireStart?

There are several third-party systems which are supported by FireStart and listed below grouped by their usage.

Access to a third-party system via business entities: 

  • Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 On-Premise
  • Microsoft SharePoint Online
  • MySQL
  • Other database systems via ODBC and OleDB (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.)
  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server 20151/20171 (limited supported: not longer actively maintained)
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 20131/20151/2016
  • Various other systems over OData (authentication via Basic Authentication is possible)

FireStart can react to data updates in the following systems: 

  • Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 and  On-Premise via SyncAdapter SharePoint Online via the RemoteEventReceiver  
  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Dynamics CRM via a specific Plugin which has to be installed on the corresponding server

  • SAP (Execution of BAPI or RFC-functions, NetWeaver)
  • UiPath
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 On-Premise as well as Microsoft SharePoint Online (Document handling, Add/Delete Websites, Set Permissions)
  • Mail- und Meeting-Request-Despatch via Microsoft Exchange or arbitrary SMTP servers
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX (experimental)
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Active Directory (reading)
  • DocuSign
  • WebSMS
  • Bing Distance
  • Bing Translate
  • Various others via SOAP or REST Service (authentication via Basic and Windows Authentication is possible)
  • Other systems which are not directly supported, can be addressed via the PowerShell Script Activity
